Update: I upgraded my review as I updated the app. Turns out the menu button wasn't working either and the update helps! Still a bit cluttered and I can't figure how to remove a card. Why is this so difficult to use? It takes me about 10 minutes to figure out where to find my "wallet." I find the layout very cluttered and not user-friendly, and am fairly tech knowledgeable. I'm no wizard, but I can find my way around apps fairly easily. Not this one. Once I do, it works well.

After resetting my PayPal password, I was completely locked out of the app. Even after successfully changing the password, the Android app refuses to let me log in. I tried everything — clearing cache, reinstalling the app, restarting my phone — nothing worked. Apparently, I now have to wait an hour or more just to log back into my own account. Extremely frustrating experience for a service that should prioritize security and usability. Very disappointed.

The worst payment app I've ever tried to use, by far. Incredibly buggy. The menu button doesn't work, the QR code button doesn't work, adding a card or bank account doesn't work. Finally fixed the bug that was preventing me from deleting a payment method, 2 years later. You'd think a technology company like PayPal would have the whole app design thing down, but their platform is awful.
