The fees are exorbitant and the customer service is awful. I placed an order but realized almost immediately that I clicked pickup instead of delivery. I canceled the order in less than a minute after I placed it but was still charged the full amount and not even offered credit The saving grace is the excellent drivers. They're at least fast and follow delivery preferences.

So I am stuck at home and having to use DoorDash to order food. I select my items from a local restaurant. I choose Delivery. I hit submit order. The app changed my order to pick up, which if I was able to do I would. I tried it again and made sure I chose delivery. Indeed the app changed it to pick up on checkout. At the moment there is my food on the counter which will not be picked up. Also the app does not have a feedback feature or a customer support feature.

Hidden fees; delivery fee is displayed, but also a delivery "service fee" hidden in the "taxes" section (it's not a tax). Some of the items are also marked up a couple of bucks from just going to the restaurant yourself (not sure if this goes to the store or doordash?). All this means the actual cost of delivery can be $10 more vs. going in store. They also pull bait and switch type moves advertising coupons and will increase the amount over time you have to spend to qualify for those coupons.
