Wacom Inkspace App

Real pity - i love my bamboo slate, it's a great thing, but this app is just barely usable. 1) Who decided sorting chronologically (not inversely!) is a good idea? I have to scroll down for ages to see my latest drawings. 2) No indication of what drawing has which label, only visible if i open the drawing and click the label.. Wouldn't it make sense to overlay the label in a corner? I also don't understand what's the difference between label and group. 3) Quite clunky how to select a drawing or multiple - I actually only discovered it now while writing this review, I thought it was not possible. 4) No sync button/action 5) Happened to me twice that the device was not responding and had to be factory reset. It seems it got to do with the app, I think it happened both times when I turned off the device while being connected to the app. If I first turn off the bluetooth/location and then turn off the device, it works fine. Don't want to check if it's fixed as I don't want to risk again doing a factory reset, pairing etc. 6) Probably device related but it's annoying to only be able to sync to one device (apparently this is because there's some sort of a unique id that gets used and the device can only store 1). I'd like to try syncing to my linux laptop via Tuhi but don't want to keep needing to re-pair with mobile/laptop. For many of these, you just literally have to look at Google Keep and copy the functionality - it's pretty simple.

I think the hardware gets 10/10 in terms of durability for what it's capable of. The app is GARBAGE! The app only works with modifications and work-arounds. Duplicates to cloud, crashing on export on 4.5.* (if you have same issue get 4.4.* from apkpure and custom sign). I can tell that Wacom publishes the app without any regression tests, or any CI, I think the dev team is small and need to focus more on stabilty rather than "features" which there hasn't been any new in years.

Essential for Bamboo Slate but needs major improvements. Pairing is a headache, syncing is slow, requires location ON to run properly (no justification), disconnects occasionally, asks if you want to forget the paired device when re-paired, asks to swich Bluetooth on when I don't wnat to and the slate is off, and all of this after my 1st day of use of the Slate. B Slate is an amazing product but requires firmware and app update. I feel this app was designed for iOS then ported poorly to Android.
