Can still be heavily expanded, but already offers great fun, especially with friends. Pay to win is possible and on maps with more players obviously more likely, but it's not like most where every third player is a whale, they're a bit rarer here actually. Definitely playable F2P. Community is a bit split, some people great, others not so great, the mechanics of this game and its nature obviously invite one or the other toxic player, but they can be ignored easily.

3.5/5. Interesting game, but so far, it seems a bit too slow paced for my tastes while also being mildly time-consuming. Almost reminds me of RISK but slower or Civilization with less land development. Also, managing many territories and armies was a bit difficult on my phone. Would be nice they added a bonus map domination (like in the faster paced Polytopia) round after the initial victory though, maybe with intensives for other players to resist as long as possible.

The game has one major flaw: there is no combat experience. This means that when you use the same military unit for a long time, it does not gain battle experience, which is very important. Many players just stand and accumulate troops, while you, as you conquer territories, run out of manpower. Then they launch an attack, creating an imbalance and unfairness.
