Loved this app so much, but since the switch to the subscription model, it's practically useless. I'm already paying 9.99 a month for.... now next to nothing. Everything is locked behind "premium" paywall. I understand new releases, to a point. But I tried to open a saved book published in 2011, and it's premium. This is nothing less than greed. After years of supporting this little app, I'm sad to say I'll be canceling at the end of the month.

I just got this as a free trial to see if I could find an audible replacement. The playback for this app is awful. It will switch from the 1.2x I have selected to 1x speed all on its own. If your book isn't downloaded, it freezes all the time. You also don't get to keep the books you've unlocked if you ever cancel your membership. Your unlocks also don't roll over from month to month. That makes no sense. They've already been paid for.

there's a bug that after you finish a book it often crashes when you try to get back into that book. it thinks the book is "finished" once you got to the end and makes it hard to get back in, but often it finished after I fell asleep or I want to revisit. only fix for this bug is uninstall and reinstall. also, would love more flexibility in listening speeds to account for different reading speeds and for different moods (sleep listening or sick listening needs lower speeds to be more chill)
