One of the first app I've ever installed, recommend by XDA on my 1st Android phone, the Galaxy SII, so MANY years ago. It's proven to be one of my core apps I ALWAYS install. Very reliable & useful. I still use it on my newest phone, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. It mostly works, but a few issues exists, but will withhold judgement as I'm still learning this phone & Android 14. I'm slowly knocking off those issues one by one. For now, it remains 5 stars.

Got a rooted phone? You need this! Edit: Have had to reduce my previous 5 star rating. Unfortunately, since Android 10, RE no longer has the ability to delete or rename system files. This was the main reason (for me) to have the app. In fact, due to Google's arrogant restrictions - all the while claiming 'user safety', I no longer root my phones. Consequently, I now no longer have the need for Root Explorer. A great pity, it was at one time absolutely essential for a rooted phone IMHO.

Today I had an unpleasant surprise. I've tried to copy from phone to a stick a folder with ~ 1000 items and ~ 30 GB. That I don't do usually. This app crashed and that is not allowed for a file explorer. So I remain at CX File Explorer which is rock solid.
