About this app

• Warm-Up is performed before a performance or practice. it prepares the muscles for vigorous actions. According to ACSM, warm-up should be a five to ten minutes of low- to moderate-level activity.

• Cooling down is an easy exercise, done after a more intense activity, to allow the body to gradually transition to a resting or near-resting state. Cooling down allows the heart rate to return to its resting rate. A study has shown that athletes who perform an appropriate cool-down are less likely to become injured.

The app is really good, does what it says and I use it before some major exercise. The only drawback is the random selection of exercises. There are a lot of exercises in the exercise list, but if you run the app in Warm Up mode for just 5 minutes, it only repeats : Low Jump Jack, Jump Jacks, Hip Circles, Arm Circles, Windmill, Kneeling Push Ups and that's it. Tested for over a month and still the same exercises.

I love this app. It allows me to change an exercise easily without skipping a beat. I don't jump because of balance issues. It gives it something else other than jumping jacks. I do the cool down after my Kettle Bells workout. Today I have no stiffness after yesterday's workout. Considering I am 75, that is very good. I am proof you are never too old to take care of your body.

I have a problem with the UI of this app. I sometimes accidentally tap the figure, which means a new exercise pops up. The "previous" and "next" symbols look misleading, because instead of prompting to return to my previous exercise (because I suddenly clicked it), it just shows a whole new exercise. Much worse, it even increases the timer. I don't know what's going on with the coding. Even the timer has a problem too, because it goes to negative when the timer passes. It looks lazily coded.
