Its good for what it does, which is an oddly a difficult thing to find. The other app for this function runs my pixel 2 battery super hot. Only thing is the weird "Action on Tap" selection: phone settings, media controls, play services—which are pretty useless. But no option for opening the calendar app on the watch...or just an option for opening an app of your choosing.

Works differently on different devices I have more settings options in Fossil Gen 6 than on the Pixel watch 2. Could be due to Wear OS being split up for different manufacturers.

Oh well, I thought the dev fixed this app, but it appears they have not. It is still not updating the day. Currently it shows Saturday the 28.
