PREREQUISITES

• Camera: for photo transfers to read invoices, remittance slips or QR codes
• Microphone: to use call from-within-the-app function
• Location approval: to search for ATMs and branches
• Memory: to store your personalized account display in the app
• Telephone: to directly dial customer service and avoid losing an existing session on incoming calls
• Network: the app requires an internet connection to the bank. To check the connection, we need the right to view the network status.
• Referrer: The app checks with the store where the installation was initiated.
• Hard-/software checks of your device: At runtime, we check known, security-relevant attack vectors (e.g. rooted/jailbreak, malicious apps, etc.)


NOTE

With Android, rights are always assigned in groups. So, we need to request permissions for all topics, even if we only need one permission from the group. We use these rights only for the purposes mentioned here, within the app, and do not access your personal

IMPORTANT

The Commerzbank Banking app is not compatible with the "Xposed Framework" and similar frameworks. To use the App, you must completely uninstall this software. If the app is opened with the framework installed, it will close immediately without an error message.

As of 2025, the Bank App is on a downward spiral. Lost features, has issues with tokens, randomly logging out and requiring visits to the bank for simple transactions. Instable services, last month it simply wouldn't respond (last day of the month what a wonder for the Bank). -------- Does what it should. Lightweight. Could provide more information about the recipients of transactions, though.

The UI is nice and smooth, however, sometimes during a transaction the app shows a pop up error saying "an error has occurred, we are sorry for inconvenience". It'd be more helpful if the error msg could be more specific for better user experience. I had to figure out myself that the international transfer limit is not set properly due to which the error was shown. Definitely needs some improvements on user experience.

Application is not showing up to date account saldo. Sometimes, it takes 20 days to show past transactions, usually it is 2 or 3 days, which is still too much for waiting to see accurate status. *** application improved with pending transaction, which is good. Thank you for taking care.

What's new

We want you to be able to rely on our app at all times – that’s why this update includes important bug fixes. Issues affecting transfers for some customers have been addressed and are now functioning reliably again. You can also use money mate again without restrictions.
