The ZEIT ONLINE app for Android (from version 8.0) offers you the award-winning journalism from ZEIT ONLINE and ZEIT in a clear app.
With the new version you can immediately see the latest events and headlines on your phone and tablet. Be inspired by the editors' reading recommendations, listen to podcasts with our new audio player and enjoy our reports, analyzes and data visualizations - now also in dark mode.
The areas of the app at a glance:
● Start
On the homepage you can see our news and analyzes of the most important events of the day as well as the latest articles from our departments - from politics and economics to health and knowledge to ZEITmagazin and ZEIT Campus.
● My subscription
Here you will find all the contents of your digital subscription: Z+ articles, recipes from the weekly market, games like Sudoku and "Thinking around the corner", the e-paper of the current ZEIT and more.
● Headlines
Scroll through our offerings in chronological order or view the most commented or most read content.
● Audio
In the audio section you will find all podcasts from ZEIT and ZEIT ONLINE, such as our news podcast “Was Now?” and “TIME crimes.” You will also hear articles from the current ZEIT read aloud and various playlists.
● Games
Play the popular word puzzle “Wortiger”, the “Spelling Bee” or one of our classics: Sudoku, crossword puzzles or the quiz.
● Menus
In the content menu (top left in the start tab) you will find all departments and important overview pages such as the newsletter overview or the ZEIT archive. In the user menu (top right in the start tab) we collect other useful functions of our app: dark mode, font size adjustment, push notifications and your personal watch list.

Update Feb 24: Still keeps happening and noone seems to be interested in fixing. Poor feedback management :( Happens way too often that an ad (donation program) is triggered while reading which removes the complete article and only this very ad is shown in the top left corner. Only way out is to go back, reopen the article and hope it doesn't happen again. Happens at the weirdest and most random moments while reading. Persistent for months. Will avoid your app from now on :(

Full of ads and tracking, even if you're a subscriber. The login page to opt out of the tracking doesn't accept your login (for any of paper, digital, or "Kombi" Abos). You have to subscribe to a completely separate "Pur Abo" which is billed separately, and only gives "less" ads and still includes tracking with at least Google Analytics. Absolute BS. I'll just use Firefox with tracking protection and Adblock, thanks.

constantly getting logged out, if the app remembers me I get a 'done' notification everytime starting the app... impossible to manage anything related to your account neither in the app nor online l: you need to get in contact with customer support... asking to to submit your credit card details via fax (!), post or by phone - welcome to the 21st century if you allow background activity required for push notifications the app literally takes 50% of my Pixel 9 battery...

Wenn Sie Playlists hören, können Sie jetzt über den kleinen oder großen Player wischen, um einen Titel vor oder zurück zu springen. Auch die skip/back Buttons im Android-System-Player steuern die Playlist.
