The Qantas Entertainment app allows you to connect to the onboard wireless network (this is not the Internet), on selected Qantas domestic flights without individual seatback screens, so you can watch or listen to:

* TV Shows & Boxsets
* Audiobooks & Podcasts
* Games

Using the app

Once onboard, connect your device to the onboard wireless network in 3 simple steps:
1. Turn on Flight Mode.
2. Enable Wi-Fi and connect to the Q-Streaming or Qantas Free Wi-Fi network.
3. Launch the Qantas Entertainment App.

The Qantas Entertainment app is best enjoyed on a tablet device. Please remember to charge your personal device and to bring your headphones.

Actually managed to get the App to work for a change on a flight Melb to Perth. The long adverts at the start of a movie can't be skipped. And the ads kept freezing (with symbol for working / buffering) for ages, so did the start of the movie. I don't know why the movie eventually played without any more pauses. But it demonstrated that the app (or wifi) is capable of operating much better than it did for the first 20 minutes!!

I've already paid for the ticket – why do I have to watch ads to access the entertainment? Instead of using the app to provide a better service, it's being used to generate income through ads. Given the app's rating, it seems to be damaging Qantas' reputation more than improving customer service.

While my phone normally is able to use this app and I tested other movies during flight. The movie I wanted to finish watching crashed every 2min10sec. To watch the next 2minutes the app needed to be shutdown and restarted. The most frustrating 4hour experience ever. Still haven't finished the movie. I would be less stressed looking at the chair in froñt than this app.
