Updated: close to walking away. Campaigns are a big element, but the Devs are purposely making it almost impossible to unlock key toons without buying them. Without the toons, the campaign is very limited. The items in the store are way over priced, the monthly pass is expensive and hard to complete leaving paid for rewards unclaimed. Parents be warned before allowing your child to play because of the pay to play/win element is front and center. Good game, bad need to pay.

April 2025 update: It is really a pay to play game now. Download at your own risk. Review from few years ago: I have been playing for 2 years and spent some money on this game. In the past you need to pay to win, now it's moving to the direction of paying just to play. You can't do much without paying, let alone progressing. Be careful of those one liner 5* reviews. They might be paid bot reviews after a barrage of poor reviews from actual players.

it's fun and all, but the events are ridiculous. can't be completed without the event character and that's a major downfall, this is my second profile and I'm missing so many characters from the past events because I didn't have the required character or whatever. And personally, that's a bit much considering completing the 1st act and it's telling me that I need that same character that I'm trying acquire is required. Come on Scopely, most of us aren't made of money.
