I couldn't see the map on my galaxy watch 4 until i tried sideloading an old APK which didn't work either! I got it working somehow but after a restart of the watch I get the message saying Bluetooth is not connected and I couldn't see the map on my watch. Then I removed locus maps watch from the sleeping apps list on my watch settings. That fixed the problem.

Hi, please exclude both Locus Map and Locus Map Watch from all means of battery optimization so that the apps can run in the background, see http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:faq:gps_lost_fix_android6. Also, make sure Locus Map has the system permission to access nearby devices. Michal, Locus team

The smartphone app is wonderful, so I don't understand why the smartwatch app is so inadequate. I used it since my first smartwatch (Tizen), at the time it seemed wonderful. Many years has passed and nothing changed, this one is identical to the old Tizen app. In the forum there are plenty of suggestions, but it seems there is no interest in improving this app. Modern smartwatches have barometric altimeter and compass but these sensor aren't used at all. It's a real shame.

I was looking for a nice hiking map for CZ, this app on the phone is great, but I need to use it on my watch aswell as I don't want to take out my phone all the time. One feature that I miss the most is that is doesn't use my watch's compass sensor (like GMaps do) so I cannot point to a direction I need to go on a crossroad. It would be great app if it used the compass and be a bit smoother.
