About this app

This is an optional companion app to the ControlD.com DNS service. It allows you to start using any ControlD DNS resolver on your Android device with a single click.

This app is optional to use Control D, as we recommend the use of Private DNS feature in Android, as it requires no installed software.

Control D employs the Android VPN service to filter only DNS traffic and route it through the ControlD DNS service.

Unfortunately this app causes my network to completely stop working after about 30 mins. No amount of disabling battery saver settings helps. But control.D as a service works great. I use the "Private DNS" setting in my phone and it's perfect. the only reason I'd like the app is so that it works better with WiFi portals and disables on my home WiFi, but I can survive without that.

It's a great app and all but the IP masking feature should be included in the free trial because I need to find out if it works properly or not before buying a subscription!

Worked fantastically for the first few days, then unexpectedly began to block all traffic while enabled. Like: the notification showing # blocked requests. Dislike: all requests failing to resolve 😕
