Welcome to the new HERE WeGo!
HERE WeGo is a free navigation app that guides local and global travelers on journeys both familiar and foreign. The app now has a fresh, new design and clearer, easier to use navigation.
Enjoy a more carefree journey and reach your destination effortlessly, however you need to get there. Get there on foot with easy-to-follow walk guidance. Take public transport in more than 1,900 cities around the world. Or use turn-by-turn voice guidance with accurate driving directions and go by car. You can even find parking at your destination and get guided directly to it.
Visit the same places often? Save them in a collection to stay organised and find them easier. Or use shortcuts to get directions to them in one click
Need to make an extra stop or want to go a specific way? Simply add waypoints to your routes and HERE WeGo guides you there.
Want to save your mobile data and stay on course even without an internet connection when travelling? Download a map of a region, country or continent and complete your journey while staying totally offline.

I like this, but it has some serious flaws. Firstly, it constantly crashes on Android Auto, which is not fun when I'm driving and need directions. Secondly, the search functionality is pretty bad. Unless you know exactly what you are looking for, it's impossible to find anything new. Sometimes, the search bar just doesn't work , but the biggest problem is not being able to easily filter results. I loved Google Maps' ability to filter restaurants and atteactions in my area.

Small feedback and ideas : When you select north facing map and then reconnect to the car with Android Auto it resets to 3D view. It should just stay in the mode user sets it instead of making us set it to north facing map every single time. When i need to take turn right in 800m, the app announces it with huge popup, there is no need for it. Please make these popups optional. Arrow representing a car is unnecessarily too large. Line with navigation path could be a bit thicker.

I've been using here maps for a few days to get away from Google, but unfortunately it's really difficult to. I do like how cleaner the map looks, without 5000 businesses and POIs that Google shows since they're sponsored, but that is also its downfall: it's basically impossible to find any business. I guess I will keep using maps for search and Here for navigation, but I really hope it can be improved. There is a monumental chance to make this app more relevant, but it needs to improve a lot.

We're always looking to add more POIs to the maps, so please feel free to email us all location details at appsupport@here.com, or go to the website and right click on any location, and you can add the missing POI there directly (it will go to our cartography team for verification first).
