I've loved Webtoon for a long time. I stuck to it for as long as I did because the experience was better than any other app I've tried, but it's been going downhill for a while. The Daily Pass restricting my ability to reread my favorite comics, ads filling every corner possible (and now covering the comics themselves), and the ui popping up anytime I scroll up (that was the biggest gripe I had with Tapas when I tried that)... It's becoming a frustrating user experience.

the content is good, but the app is riddled with ads. everything originally was ads everywhere, but you had a say in what kind of ads were displayed. But as I've used the app, ads have been inserted everywhere, and are horribly manipulative and obnoxious. they have these tiny buttons that are hard to press, often result in false taps, difficult to dismiss.. low quality. some overtly sexual, or promoting sexualized content. it's ridiculous. Also, coins are not as valuable, it now requires 7 per

I've had this app since 2017 and I love it! or should I say, I used too. Honestly, Webtoon has been going down hill this last year, especially the last few months. First of all, there's a HUGE increase in ads and popups which overall bring down the experience. Sticking ads in every corner makes the app look cheap. I've also noticed discrimination in what kind of series are being published and promoted. Lately it seems like only classic manga art styles are being published. Bring back diversity!
